PUNS System Information

As required by Public Act 103-0504, each public school district must have at least one employee designated as knowledgeable about the PUNS (Prioritization for Urgency of Need for Services) system. The PUNS system is a statewide database that helps identify individuals with developmental disabilities who may need services now or in the future.

It is important to note that students can be enrolled in the PUNS system as early as 2.5 years of age, which means this requirement applies to all districts, not just those serving transition-age students.

Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, each district is required to list the designated PUNS contact both on the district website and in the student handbook. At Germantown Elementary School, our designated PUNS contact is:
