GES Grow Your Own Educator Program

At GES, our topmost priority is to provide our students with the best education possible so that when their journey continues elsewhere, they are ready to confidently take on the new challenges they will face.

A school is only as good as its best educators.  At GES, we strive to hire and retain passionate educators who are dedicated to the cause of providing the community children with highly engaging educational programming that meets their academic needs.

In anticipation of community growth and the need to hire highly qualified educators in the near future, we are starting the GES Grow Your Own Educator Program.  This program targets local high school and college students as well as individuals ready to make a career change who are interested in going into the field of PreK-8 education.

Through this program, participants will:

  • be provided with mentoring.

  • build a network with other future educators.

  • be eligible to complete observations, field experience hours, and student teaching at GES.

  • have the opportunity to help with after school homework or teach a summer enrichment class.

  • have opportunities to participate in professional development aligned with best practices in education.

  • create a digital teaching portfolio.

  • engage in interview training.

  • be supported throughout the education program and job search process.

If you live in Germantown or the surrounding area, have an interest in pursuing a degree in education, and would benefit from support through the GES Grow Your Own Educator Program, please contact Robin Becker via email, rbecker@ges60.org, via school phone, 523-4253, or via cell phone, 830-5209.

We look forward to working with future educators to build a better tomorrow for our community children.

This is a complimentary program offered by GES  in an effort to support the development of local educators.
