Student Registration

Tuesday, July 5,  marks the official start of student registration.

PreK Students

All families with children that will be in PreK for the 2022-23 school year should have already received a hard copy of the student registration packet.  If you have not received this packet, please contact Deanna Kehder at dkehder@ges60.org or (618)523-4253, and she will arrange to get it to you.

Families with a child new to our PreK program will need to provide a copy of their child's live birth certificate and a completed physical form.  Families are welcome to bring these documents to the office when dropping off the completed registration forms.

Completed registration forms can be returned to the school office any weekday between the hours of 7:30-4:00.

All New Students to GES

Families with a child(ren) that will be attending GES for the first time are asked to come to the school office any weekday between the hours of 7:30-4:00 to complete the registration process in person.  At the time of registration, we will need 3 proofs of residency and the child's live birth certificate.

All Returning Students Entering Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th Grade

Families with returning TK-8 students will complete the registration process on-line through the TeacherEase portal.  Simply click here, enter the username and password associated with your account, and you should be prompted to start the student registration process. The on-line student registration window will be open July 5-31.

Lunch Program Update

While we have not gotten official word through our school food authority, we are hopeful that the recently signed Keep Kids Fed Act will allow us to continue offering free lunches through September of 2022.  As soon as we get an update from our school food authority, we will let you know.

For parents of our TK-4th grade students, we have decided to change our procedure for collecting morning recess milk money.  Milk money can be paid in conjunction with lunch money and no longer needs to be paid separately.

For now, we suggest making a deposit in your child(ren)'s lunch/milk account(s) if:

  • your TK-4th grade child will be drinking milk/juice at morning recess.  Morning recess milk/juice is not part of the free lunch program.  The cost is 35¢ for milk/juice.
  • your TK-8th grade child will be purchasing an extra milk at lunch.  The cost is 35¢ for milk.
  • your 5th-8th grade child will be eating ala carte.   Ala carte is not part of the free lunch program.  The cost is $1.50 for ala carte.

Finalized bus route schedules will be made available to families by the end of July.

If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact the school office at 523-4253.
