This morning, we had an unexpected visit from one of our youngest superheroes, a third-grade student who came to school wearing a self-made superhero hat! 💥 His sweet innocence served as a reminder that superheroes come in all sizes. Whether young or old, all of us have the potential to use our 'superpowers' to make the world a better place to live. What's your superpower?

Angel for Autism is a non-profit organization that has dedicated itself to making a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by autism. The organization strives to provide support, resources, and a sense of community to those navigating the complexities of autism spectrum disorder. In fact, Angel for Autism has served as a vital resource for our school community this past year by providing us with 'sensory tools' or 'calming tools' the students use to help regulate their emotions . We are grateful for the support of Angel for Autism and seek to help them in return by sharing this fundraising event with others.

Calling all former, current, and future Bulldogs or anyone that is a Bulldog supporter. We are in the beginning stages of putting together a Capital Campaign to 'Raise the Roof' on a new gymnasium. If you are interested in being part of the committee that works to raise money to close the funding gap for the gym, please email raisetheroof@ges60.org. This is an opportunity to leave an indelible mark on the community school's legacy, fostering an environment where building strong minds goes hand in hand with building strong bodies. Let's unite to make this vision a reality.

It was confirmed earlier today that a crane will be on site tomorrow morning starting at 7:00 to begin the process of installing the structural steel for the classroom additions. This means Walnut Street by the school will be blocked off to traffic for a period of time. We know the timing isn't the best with it being the first day of school, but that is unfortunately how things played out. We ask that families planning to bring their children to school tomorrow avoid the stretch of Walnut Street by the school. The main entrance to the parking lot will be accessible via Munster street from both directions. The plan is for Walnut Street to be open by dismissal time at 3:05 for bus traffic. We kindly ask that all other traffic use a different route to the school. With so much activity scheduled in the construction zone tomorrow, we would like to limit the traffic on that stretch of the road as much as possible. While this situation may be less than ideal, it is important to remember that this is a sign of progress being made as we continue to watch our vision become a reality.
