Please consider participating in our second Eat Local fundraiser since pre-pandemic times. Dairy King in Breese and Trenton will donate 10% of every purchase made April 3-7 to the PTA. Must present the fundraising coupon at the time of purchase. Coupons will be sent home with each student today. Extra coupons are available in the school office. Support a local business, enjoy some delicious food and help the PTA raise money for the school. It's a win-win for everyone.

Kelsey Tate, Kaskaskia College Dual Credit & Career Pathways Coordinator, spoke with our 8th grade students and their parents this evening about the Kaskaskia College Career Pathways tool. This tool helps to develop a roadmap to achieving career goals. By introducing families to the Career Pathways tool at the 8th grade level, it allows students to recognize how the courses they take as freshman and sophomores in high school can set them up for success in dual credit during their junior and senior year.
During the presentation, information was also shared on other dual enrollment programs that students can take advantage of during high school including KC Now and Jump Start resulting in a significant savings to families.
Go to kaskaskia.edu and click on the Career Pathways button on the right hand side of the page to learn more.
Thank you, Kelsey Tate and Kaskaskia College, for offering this learning opportunity to our families.

We would like to thank the Germantown Fire Department for once again serving as a Gold Sponsor for this year's Bulldog Dash. Every year, the GFD is actively involved in the school. Members volunteer their time to teach our students about fire safety. We appreciate the time and energy the members of the GFD dedicate to our school and the community.
If you have an opportunity to support a GFD fundraiser, please consider doing so. The GFD is an integral part of our community.

Game on! Let's go Lady Bulldogs!!

They say it's just a game, and it is. BUT yet it is so much more than that. The game of VOLLEYBALL prepares student athletes for the game of LIFE. VOLLEYBALL is more than just a sport. It helps with the development of LIFE skills: teamwork, passion, drive, dedication, sacrifice, determination, focus, discipline, perseverance, mental toughness, confidence, leadership, endurance, resilience, and so much more.
So when our Lady Bulldogs take to the court today at noon to represent GES at the Class S SIJHSAA State Tournament, they will be demonstrating the importance of teamwork and how it takes everyone working together to achieve success. They will be showing their passion and drive for the game, as well as their dedication and sacrifice to their team. They will be exhibiting determination and mental toughness, as well as discipline and focus.
Our Lady Bulldogs will also be displaying their leadership skills, endurance, and resilience, never giving up and fighting until the very end. They have worked hard to develop the many skills it takes to be a volleyball player, and win or lose, they will make us all proud today.
So let's cheer on our Lady Bulldogs as they take to the court and remember that volleyball is more than just a game. It's a way of life, and the skills developed through playing it can help us all succeed in whatever we do.
Go Lady Bulldogs!

In life, you win some you lose some, but it's important to learn from both experiences and keep moving forward.
