
Beginning Band was joined by some 6th grade members of Bulldog Band this morning. Both classes had fun working on Beginning Band's piece, Dragon Slayer. 4th graders got some help learning their parts while 6th grade was given the opportunity to be leaders for our newest members of Bulldog Band. At GES, we love watching students work together and show leadership.

This in person update will touch on a multitude of topics that will paint a very real picture of the State of the District. We invite you to invest an hour of your time to learn and grow with us.


From 6:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, representatives from Kaskaskia College will be at GES giving an overview to our 8th grade students and parents about the KC Career Pathways tool. This overview will help with planning for high school courses and KC dual credit courses. We encourage all families of the Class of 2023 to attend.


With a semi-final win over Albers/Dville, the Lady Bulldogs advance to the championship game of the ASA 6th Grade Volleyball Tournament. Next up is Bartelso at approximately 2:15. Go Lady Bulldogs!

With wins over ASA and St. Ann, our Lady Bulldogs finished day 1 of the GES Invitational with a record of 2-0. Tomorrow's matchups include:

In 6th grade volleyball action this evening, our Lady Bulldogs were victorious over ASA and advance to the semi-finals tomorrow at 11:10 against Albers/Dville. Go Lady Bulldogs!


Student Council is sponsoring a Coining 4 Kids fundraiser next week. All proceeds raised through this fundraiser will be donated to Coping 4 Kids. Ms. Kris and the Coping 4 Kids Team plays an integral role in supporting the community children. We've decided it's time for us to give back. Join us in our efforts to raise money for this organization that supports the well-being of our students.


Everyone in junior high Bulldog Band worked hard for mock solo contest last week. We had guest judges listen to students individually and give them a score and feedback on their solo. Today they received medals to commemorate their hard work.

Kindergarten Registration is now open for 2023-24 NEW to the district kindergarten students.
If you live in the Germantown Elementary School boundaries, have a child that will be 5 years old by September 1, 2023, and this child did NOT attend the Germantown Elementary School Pre-K or TK Programs, please email dkehder@ges60.org or call (618)523-4253, so we can get your child added to the roster and provide you with the information needed to complete the registration process.
We already have contact information for families with children that attended our PreK Program, so there is no need for these families to reach out to us.


The pairings for the 2023 Girls Volleyball Clinton County Conference Tournament have been released. In quarterfinal action, our Lady Bulldogs will play the winner of the Albers/Dville vs. Lebanon game at 6:40 on Tuesday, March 14. Go Lady Bulldogs!

Today, we celebrate these Bulldog Band members for their performance at Solo Contest held at Highland Middle School on Saturday, February 25. All participants earned an Excellent rating for their performance. Bulldog Country stands proud of you.


Spirit Week continues tomorrow with Western Day. The students are encouraged to wear cowboy/cowgirl attire to school.

The pairings for the 2023 Region 11 Class S Volleyball Regional have been released. In semifinal action at Mater Dei High School, our Lady Bulldogs will take on Bartelso at 6:15 on Monday, March 20. Good luck ladies!

The SEL Squad is a volunteer group of dedicated GES staffers passionate about social emotional learning. They put many hours into making our first ever SEL Family Night a huge success.
