The first race will start at 4:00 with the second race to follow at approximately 4:30. All race activity should conclude by 5:15.
Our Bulldog racers would love to see some familiar faces along the route cheering them on. We invite you to come out and show your Bulldog pride.

Hip hip hooray for sunshine, blue skies, and smiling faces. We love our Bulldogs!

Please help us give Ms. McDowell a warm Bulldog welcome. Ms. McDowell will be working as a fifth grade paraprofessional this year. While this will be her first year working in a school setting, Ms. McDowell loves children and has lots of experience working with them. She has aspirations of becoming a teacher. Working at GES is the first step towards achieving that goal. Welcome to Germantown, Ms. McDowell.

Meet the 7th Grade Class of 2024. These students have been challenged to use this year as an opportunity to develop their leadership skills further so that they are ready when it is their turn to be the 'Top Dawgs' next year. We are excited about their potential for growth.

Meet the 8th Grade Class of 2023. These students are ready to lead the way to a successful school year by showcasing through their words and actions what it means to have Bulldog Pride. Enjoy your final year as Bulldog students.

Mrs. Wilken read the book, You Are Enough, to the fourth grade students today. This book shares a fantastic message that people of all ages need to hear. Being different is what makes you YOU, and you are enough just as you are. Let this serve as a reminder to all of us that we are enough.

It's go time! We are ready for some life to be breathed into these halls and this building. Here's to a fantastic 2022-23 school year, Bulldog Country! Bring on the children.

Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, it's off to school we go. Check out the upcoming events scheduled at GES for the first week of school.

Dawn Skidis and Tammie Kapp from Academy Mortgage Corporation and Dan McKenna from Local 101 Plumbers & Fitters are pictured with Superintendent Becker and the school supplies that were purchased for the students and school thanks to a fundraising effort on behalf of their businesses to support local schools. We appreciate our friends in the business world that back our community schools.

Today is a BIG day at GES. The staff will spend the day participating in our annual Back to School Teacher Institute activities. We will follow that up with TK-8 Open House this evening. (Please note that PreK does not participate in Open House as there are Meet the Teacher sessions scheduled for Monday and Tuesday.) The Open House schedule is as follows:
6:00-6:20 Families with Last Name A-D
6:20-6:40 Families with Last Name E-H
6:40-7:00 Families with Last Name I-P
7:00-7:20 Families with Last Name Q-Z
Families that cannot attend their scheduled time are welcome to come when it works for them. The purpose behind the schedule is to limit the number of attendees at one time so the teachers have more of an opportunity to connect with families.
We ask that families enter the building using the main entrance and exit the building using the wing doors if possible.
For parents of junior high students, homeroom assignments for the 2022-23 school year are as follows:
5th Grade: Mrs. Garren
6th Grade: Mrs. Graham
7th Grade: Mrs. Conner
8th Grade: Mr. Glynn
We look forward to a hallway filled with smiling faces this evening.

The Bartelso Knights of Columbus hosted a breakfast on May 22nd with proceeds to be distributed amongst the teachers at Bartelso and Germantown. Today, Bartelso Knights of Columbus representatives, Danny Clark and Aaron Gebke, presented Superintendent Becker with a $100 gift card for each teacher in the school district to spend on supplies for their classroom. A BIG thank you goes out to the good people at the Bartelso Knights of Columbus and everyone that worked and supported the breakfast. We are very fortunate that our local schools have so much support from the greater community. #TogetherWeAreBetter
